Joju George is an actor who wandered behind the scenes for many years and played small roles for a long time. Director Laljos tells the story of how he once went for an audition in Pollachi.
Laljos said that Joju, who had no money to buy a room, slept in sackcloth in the market and came to the audition fresh the next day. He spoke about Joju in an interview with Asianet.
‘Joju George came to Pollachi to participate in an audition. Without money to get a room to stay, he sleeps in the Pollachi market at night. In the morning the bulls come to the market. The brokers for that will spread sacks in its fat. Three rupees or so should be paid for a place to spread a sack.
After paying that money, Joju came fresh to the audition in a nice shirt kept in a plastic cover, lying there in sackcloth, eating breakfast in a pipe he pulled out. I know someone who left and stood there pretending to be someone who had landed in a Benz. I have seen it,’ said Laljos.
Joju’s film that finally came out is Twin. Newcomer Rohit M.G. The film was directed by Krishnan. The film is jointly produced by Appu Pathu Pappu Productions, Martin Prakat Films and Sijo Vadakan. Anjali, Srinda, Arya Salim, Srikanth Murali, Sabumon and Abhiram played the other characters.
