jpnn.comJAKARTA – Former volunteer supporting Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in the 2019 presidential election, Jay Octa, hopes that all parties will support President Prabowo Subianto in creating a clean government that is oriented towards the welfare of the people.

According to him, there is a legacy of problems in the bureaucracy that were not resolved in the Jokowi government in 2014-2019 and 2019-2024, making it a big job for Prabowo.

Jay stated that the bureaucracy should be able to work deftly in serving the community, be adaptive, productive, competitive and innovative.

“Well, all of that wasn’t achieved until Jokowi’s government ended, so it has become a crucial issue to this day,” said Jay in Jakarta, Wednesday (18/12/2024).

The head of the secretariat of the Jokowi-Ma’ruf National Campaign Team (TKN) Volunteer Directorate in the 2019 presidential election revealed that until now there are still officials who are obstacles to development.

According to Jay, many poorly performing officials actually got their positions not because of their professionalism.

“We have to admit that many officials are not mentally good. There are also those who make their careers because they are close to their superiors, who are not professional,” he said.

Jay admitted that he found officials who had held certain positions for five years without being replaced.
