jpnn.comJAKARTA – Political observer from Al Azhar University, Ujang Komarudin, assessed that the closeness of Indonesian President Joko Widodo with his successor, Prabowo Subianto, is a sign that the government transition will run smoothly.
“We are proud as children of the nation, as part of the Republic of Indonesia, that the transition was smooth,” said Ujang to journalists, Tuesday (16/7).
According to Ujang, the peaceful, orderly and safe transition process also shows that several attempts to divide Jokowi and Prabowo are just wishful thinking.
Ujang believes that both of them only focus on the interests of the country.
“There was no unrest, no conflict, nothing that we didn’t want happened,” added Ujang.
Ujang even said that efforts to separate Prabowo and Jokowi were unsuccessful.
“Of course we are talking about greater interests, namely the interests of the Indonesian nation and state,” he added.
Moreover, Ujang also believes that the harmonious relationship between Jokowi and Prabowo, including in the context of the government transition, is a good example because the elite or elements of the country’s leadership are not noisy.
