In an interview with Total Film, Favreau, co-creator of “The Mandalorian” along with Dave Filoni, and executive producer of both this and the other connected series in the Star Wars universe that we are seeing emerging on Disney+ (including The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, Skeleton Crew), commented that the third season of “The Mandalorian” is not the beginning of the end of this story, but rather “a chapter in the middle of a much bigger story.”

Of course, with that comment he refers to both “The Mandalorian” and the rest of the connected series that have emerged from the success of the first live action series production in the Star Wars universe. However, he does comment that although the story of the characters in “The Mandalorian” will have a conclusion at some point, “I would love to see these stories go on and on, so these characters could be with us for a long time.” .
