‘The Traitors’ Star Jonny Holloway Claims He Slept with Charlotte Chilton, Reigniting Paternity Dispute with Conor Maynard
Charlotte Chilton’s ongoing battle to identify the father of her daughter, Penelope, has taken a dramatic turn as fellow “Traitors” contestant Jonny Holloway alleges they engaged in a sexual encounter. The revelation throws the already complex paternity saga with singer Conor Maynard into further disarray, escalating a public dispute that has captivated fans for over a year.
For months, Chilton, 32, publicly maintained that Maynard, also 32, was Penelope’s father, revealing they were introduced through a mutual connection – Harry Clark, whose sister Anna is Maynard’s sibling. However, Maynard revealed in March, and again in August, that paternity tests definitively excluded him as the father. Despite these results, Chilton continues to assert Maynard’s paternity, prompting him to publicly suggest a relationship between Chilton and Holloway around the time of conception.
Holloway, 33, has now directly challenged Chilton’s account, claiming a sexual relationship occurred following a night out in March 2023. He asserts he has repeatedly offered to undergo a DNA test to resolve the matter definitively.
“If I was the father I would step up and take that child as my own,” Holloway told the Daily Mail. He described the encounter as occurring during a drunken night, stating, “Relations took place on a drunken night out. I was heavily intoxicated at the time. I’ve asked for a DNA test several times but have been ignored.”
According to Holloway, the pair ended up together after returning to his house following an evening out. He acknowledged Chilton was sober during the encounter, while he was heavily intoxicated, stating, “I know things took place, and I understand she was sober. I wasn’t quite with it, so I don’t know exactly how it went, but I know something happened between us.”
Holloway claims Chilton initially agreed to DNA testing but subsequently ceased communication when he attempted to arrange it. “I said to Charlotte, ‘Look we both know what happened here. Should we do a DNA test because of what has happened?’ She originally said ‘yes’. When it came to me setting it up, I haven’t heard back from her since. So I don’t know what is going on.” He expressed feeling mentally strained by the situation, emphasizing his desire for clarity for the child’s sake.
The latest development follows Maynard sharing a message he received from Holloway’s ex-wife, alleging Holloway and Chilton were involved around the time of Penelope’s conception. Maynard shared the message with fans, stating, “While it’s not 100% [Jonny], it is 100% not me.”
Jack Maynard, Conor’s brother and a former contestant on “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!”, further fueled speculation on TikTok, claiming, “She knows for a fact there is somebody else… just like we do.”
Chilton has vehemently denied any romantic involvement with Holloway, telling The Sun, “There’s never been anything romantic with Jonny. We’ve had a friendship, but there’s never been a relationship between me and Jonny. We weren’t sleeping together in January at all. It never happened.” She also accused Maynard of attempting to “discredit and distract” from the ongoing dispute, revealing she received a cease-and-desist letter from him earlier in the year.
Chilton maintains Holloway initially offered to take a paternity test and believes she has been unfairly implicated in speculation about other men. The pair formed a close friendship during filming of “The Traitors,” both playing as Faithfuls before their elimination. Their bond was widely perceived as platonic until Holloway’s recent claims.
With Holloway now publicly contradicting Chilton and demanding a DNA test, the mystery surrounding Penelope’s parentage has only deepened. Unless a paternity test is conducted, the truth behind the night Holloway alleges they slept together is likely to remain a highly public and unresolved question.
