/ The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan announced, on Sunday, the sending of an aid convoy, including 105 trucks of food supplies, to the Gaza Strip, while indicating the implementation of relief airdrops on areas in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Secretary-General of the Jordanian Hashemite Charitable Organization, Hussein Al-Shibli, said, according to the Jordanian News Agency (Petra), that “the convoy is the largest in size of Jordanian aid since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip.”
Al-Shibli stated that the convoy, which includes basic foodstuffs, including rice and flour, has been prepared and begun to be sent to the Gaza Strip, arriving before Eid al-Fitr.
He explained that this convoy will be followed by a number of similar convoys as part of a plan to increase the number of land convoys heading to the Gaza Strip.
For its part, the Jordanian army announced the implementation of 8 relief airdrops on areas in the northern Gaza Strip, with international participation.
A Royal Jordanian Air Force plane, a United Arab Emirates plane, an Egyptian plane, three United States planes, a German plane, and a Dutch plane participated in the landing operation.
On Sunday, Jordan, in coordination and cooperation between the Jordanian Armed Forces and the Jordanian Hashemite Charitable Organization, sent a new aid convoy to the people of Gaza, to be distributed through the relevant authorities in the Strip.
The Jordanian Armed Forces sent 460 aid trucks to the Gaza Strip, and carried out 72 Jordanian airdrops, in addition to 153 joint airdrops, in various locations in the Strip, in addition to 48 relief aid planes sent through Al-Arish International Airport in Egypt, according to the Jordanian News Agency.
