/ Jordan national team striker, Musa Al-Taamari, sent a message to the Iraqi fans, after the “Nashama” team defeated the “Lions of Mesopotamia” (3-2) yesterday, Monday, in the round of 16 of the Asian Football Cup “Qatar 2023”.
Today, Tuesday, Musa Al-Taamari posted a picture of himself holding the Iraqi flag on his account on the “X” platform, and commented, saying: “A flag decorated with the words “God is Great” shall not be lowered. Football unites us and does not separate us. Hard luck to our beloved brother Iraq.”
The Jordanian national team succeeded in snatching a ticket to the quarter-finals of the continental championship from Iraq, by scoring two consecutive goals in stoppage time of the match, turning its one-goal deficit into three goals to two, at Khalifa International Stadium in the Qatari city of Al Rayyan.
