Jordan Continues to Send Urgent Medical Aid to Gaza Amid Ongoing Israeli Offensive

The Royal Jordanian Air Force has delivered “urgent medical aid” for the second time to the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza, the Jordanian army announced on Sunday. The aid, dropped by parachutes from a Royal Air Force plane, is aimed at enhancing the hospital’s capabilities and increasing the ability of medical personnel to provide health and treatment services to the people in the Gaza Strip.

Under royal directives, the landing operation came in cooperation with the United Arab Emirates and the State of Qatar. An official military source stated that the drop was part of the efforts of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to support the people of Gaza amidst the ongoing war.

The Jordanian King Abdullah II has been active in providing support for Gaza, announcing that urgent medical aid would be airdropped into the region to help the wounded and injured. In addition to the medical aid, Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh announced that Jordan would receive 41 Palestinian children suffering from cancer from the Gaza Strip for treatment in specialized centers in Amman.

Since the outbreak of the war, Jordan has witnessed daily demonstrations in solidarity with the Palestinians, with demands for the cancellation of the peace treaty signed between Jordan and Israel in 1994, and the closure of the Israeli embassy in Amman. The Kingdom also recalled its ambassador to Israel on November 2, denouncing the “raging Israeli war on Gaza.”

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that over 11,078 people, including more than 4,506 children, have been killed in Israeli bombing in Gaza. Meanwhile, Israel announced on Friday that it had reduced the death toll from the Hamas attack to 1,200, stating that the toll is not final.

The continued delivery of urgent medical aid from Jordan demonstrates ongoing efforts to provide support and assistance amid the devastating impact of the conflict in Gaza.]
