jpnn.com – Jorge Martin set a special record when he became MotoGP champion in 2024.
The racer from Spain feels that this achievement will be difficult to repeat.
Martin is the 2024 MotoGP champion with the Pramac Racing satellite team.
The 26 year old rider became the first satellite racer to become World Champion after Valentino Rossi in 2001.
Apart from that, Martin confirmed himself as the first World Champion with a satellite team in the MotoGP era.
Martin finished MotoGP 2024 with a score of 508 points, 10 points ahead of Francesco Bagnaia who was in second place.
“When I became the first racer in the MotoGP era to become World Champion with a satellite team, it meant I had broken down a wall. However, I think this moment will be difficult to repeat,” said Martin as quoted AS.
“I don’t think this achievement will be used as an example because it would be very difficult to happen. I joined Valentino (Rossi) and other great racers. So, this is extraordinary,” he continued.
