After being celebrated in Guinea, Joseph Antoine Bell, monument of Cameroonian football, is expected this Wednesday April 23, 2024 in Marseille. The former international goalkeeper is the guest of honor of Olympique de Marseille as part of its program “ OM Africa“. One more consecration for the one we affectionately nickname “ His Majesty« .
A Ligue 1 match dedicated to Bell
To mark the event, OM, the only French club to win the Champions League, dedicates its match against OGC Nice (29th day of Ligue 1) to this Cameroonian icon. The meeting will be held on April 24 at night in the setting of the Orange Vélodrome stadium. There is no doubt that Marseille supporters will give their former player a triumphant welcome.

OM has planned a memorable stay for Joseph Antoine Bell. Upon his arrival, he will be received in a luxury hotel for a cocktail dinner. Winner of the CAN in 1984 and 1988, he participated in two World Cups (1982 and 1990) with the Indomitable Lions. His time at OM between 1985 and 1988 left lasting memories with supporters. By honoring him in this way, the Marseille club pays tribute to one of the greatest goalkeepers in the history of football.
