Josette Vidal stars in “El mal querer”

by time news

It may seem farfetched, but the actress Josette Vidal heads the cast of a piece that mixes Federico García Lorca with La Rosalía. It is about “El mal querer”, a work that is part of the Festival of Young Directors and that this weekend will offer its last performances.

The young actress, daughter of Javier Vidal and Julie Restifo, expressed that it is “a dream project that I fell in love with from the first moment. And she continues to do so ”, while she explained that she has “an inspiring team that I have not stopped learning from ”.

“I invite you all to join us for ‘El mal querer’ in the plural hall of the Teatro Trasnocho Cultural. We will be this weekend: Friday, March 17 at 5:30 in the afternoon; Saturday March 18 and Sunday March 19 at 4:30 in the afternoon. Tickets are already available at the theater box office. See you there”, invited the protagonist of the series “Get on my motorcycle”, from Amazon Prime Video.

– What will the public see in the work?

– “El mal querer” is a work in which the public can enjoy a show full of passion, music, poetry, dance and also the strength of the presence of the greats, which are Lorca and La Rosalía. I feel that for the viewer it is a journey in which they will be able to go through many emotions and sensations, through all the elements and the story that we are telling.

It is a love story that talks about relationships, respect, the decisions we make out of love and, above all, an invitation to love and express our truth as we want and to respect how the other expresses and loves.

– How did you get to this play?

– I think it was in mid-October that Andrés Moros wrote to me. It was a voice note in which he told me his idea of the story he wanted to tell at the Young Directors Festival.

I only remember listening to Lorca and Rosalía together and my heart jumped with emotion, and I was already saying yes without reading the script.

When I read the text I ended up falling in love and when he told me about the cast, I reaffirmed my decision and without a doubt I say that this is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made and one of the projects I’ve had to be in.

– Who is the piece for?

– To every human being living on the planet, because I feel like everyone should see it.

Andrés had a wonderful and brilliant idea to turn this message into poetry, dance, music, but in the end it is a message that we, as young creators, must continue to express and communicate. I think so, it is a work that everyone has to see, without a doubt.
