Manchester City have signed Croatian international central defender Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig on a five-year contract, the Premier League champions announced on Saturday (August 5th). Gvardiol, 21, impressed during his two seasons at Leipzig, which he joined in July 2021 from Dynamo Zagreb. The transfer to City is estimated at around 90 million euros according to The Athletic. Which makes him the most expensive defender in the history of football ahead of Harry Maguire, bought 87 million euros by Manchester United.
