The journalist and former director of Rai3 expressed on X his concern over the danger of the maneuver, demonstrated live on Rai1.
A dangerous maneuver? During the episode on Friday, September 13, on Unomattina on Rai1, an osteopath performed a maneuver on the neck of the host Massimiliano Ossini. A maneuver that did not go unnoticed by Andrea Vianello, who commented on the incident on X.
In 2019, the journalist and host had suffered a stroke – according to reports, precisely due to the same maneuver, which is why he now considers it serious and dangerous.
These are his words: «This morning on Unomattina an osteopath cracked the neck of the host live. According to doctors, it caused me carotid dissection and the stroke, as I have publicly narrated and written several times. Very serious and dangerous.»
The former director of Rai3 had suffered a stroke in February 2019, which forced him into hospitalization and an emergency operation. For a period he even lost the use of speech. The stroke, Vianello recounted, explaining what the doctors had reported, could have been linked to a neck manipulation session he underwent shortly before. «I had one done shortly before I had the stroke. I did not have cholesterol and there was no other reason for me to suffer it, except a mechanical problem, even if there are no certainties. There are no numbers on this, but there is the experience of neurologists, they say it can happen and it is something that few know», he had recounted in his book.
After the stroke, the journalist underwent a long rehabilitation process, lasting several months.
