Fourth stage in Trentino Alto Adige on the Adamello Glaciers for Legambiente’s Caravan of Glaciers. Today, 2 September, the collected data was presented at a press conference: the Adamello Glacier, the largest in Italy, has recorded a loss of 50 hectares of surface area since 2015 (equal to 70 football pitches), the Mandrone, part of its glacial complex, has recorded a frontal retreat of 330 meters in the last 12 years, of which 139 meters only in 2022.
