Last weekend the Municipality of Lo Barnechea announced the death of Juanita Lira, daughter of Mayor Cristóbal Lira, due to breast cancer who was diagnosed years ago.
“With deep regret, but with hope in heaven, we regret to announce the sensitive death of Juanita Lira Eguiguren. We lovingly accompany the Lira Eguiguren family in their grief,” the municipality reported.
The daughter of Mayor Cristóbal Lira was laid to rest in the commune of Vitacura, and later to hold their funerals privately in the commune of Zapallarin the Valparaíso Region.
