Many are of the opinion that the sexual abuse of women in the country should be severely punished. Director Deeran has given a dramatic story based on that idea.
Sathyaraj is a government doctor. His only daughter Smriti Venkat is a doctor. Daughter Smriti is engaged to be married to Dr. Yuvan Mylesamy. Smriti is raped by three youths. Sathyaraj goes to court against this great cruelty to his daughter. But the father of one of the three young men, the millionaire Madhusudhanan, is doing nothing without his money. Thus, the enraged Sathyaraj kidnaps Madhusudan’s son and operates on his penis. Sathyaraj conditions Madhusudhanan to commit some murders if he wants to give that organ. What happened next is the rest of the story of the film.
Only a few of the opening scenes of the film are stumbled upon by the waves. After that the scenes move briskly. The interesting thing about the film is that no hero has ever given such a punishment to a villain. If only a few more corrections had been made the pagoda would have been an action film. Those who remake it in other languages will fix them though. In fact, if Rajinikanth had acted in stories like this, the level of the film would have been different.
Sathyaraj has so much affection for his daughter Smriti. An average father who wants to raise his motherless daughter lovingly and make her a doctor and marry her in a good place is eye-popping in the rhetorical scenes. At the same time, when the idea of revenge comes, the usual Sathyaraj can be seen in the film. It is individual heroism to hold the hand of the opponents and beat them without giving any punishment to anyone with his hand.
Smriti Venkat as the beloved daughter. He gives sympathy even when it comes to a few scenes. Yuvan Mylesamy in the role of wanting to fall in love with him and hold his hand. Madhusudhanan as the main villain. Comes across in the film. He is supported by Harish Uthman. Their villainy stumbles in front of Sathyaraj, who was once a villain in many films. Charlie and Renuka are also in the picture.
Songs are not necessary for films like this. The background music of SN Prasad adds even more vibrancy to the impact of the scenes.
‘Judgments will be sold’ is an appropriate title for the film. But, something is not like the title of the film, except that it looks like the title of a novel. If it had a title that was toxic it would have given the film a different reception.
Those atrocities will definitely be reduced if the harsh punishments shown in this film for those who commit sexual crimes against women are carried out legally. The right fear will come to those who think to commit crime.
