This Monday, March 4, the Judicial Branch (OJ) repealed agreement 27-2023, which allowed the payment of per diems for members of the Judicial Career Council who held sessions outside of working hours.
What you should know. The document was published in the official journal with number 6-2024, of the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ) and in which it is detailed that the execution of financial resources must be prioritized in the delivery of prompt and complete justice. Also, that the Judicial Branch enjoys functional and economic independence in the development of its functions.
- In that sense, it is indicated that the regulations were authorized, which were signed by the presiding judge of that organization, Oscar Cruz, which details:
- “Agreement 27-2023, issued by the CSJ on May 31, 2023, which contains the Diet Regulations for the Members of the Council of the Judicial Career, is repealed.”
What to highlight. This provision came into force immediately, so from now on the judges who make up the Council will no longer receive financial compensation for activities outside their working hours.
