Our national judo team player, Sajjad Ghanem, continues his daily training, with two training units, morning and evening, within his training camp held in the Tunisian capital, Tunis, in preparation for the Paris Olympics this month.
Ghanem said in a statement by the Olympic Committee received by the (INA) today, Monday: “The training camp currently being held in Tunisia is under the supervision of the Tunisian coach Anis Al-Wanifi, who has developed a well-studied and professional curriculum in order to appear at a level befitting Iraq’s sporting status,” noting that “there is a clear development in performance through the fights and interaction with the best Tunisian players.”
Ghanem added that “his ambition and goal in the Olympic Games competitions is to present an honorable image to the world, appreciating the great support and continuous follow-up by the President of the Olympic Committee, Aqil Muftan, and the members of the Executive Office, by providing all the necessary capabilities and requirements that the players need, so that they can compete to achieve a position worthy of the name of Iraq.”
It is noteworthy that the judo competitions in the Olympic Games will start on the 24th and continue until the 31st of this July.
