When my wedding day was approaching, it seemed that my mother, whom I loved so much, had passed away. Now my career will be ruined. I didn’t know how to be happy with these things. One day I broke down and told everything to my mother in law. Hearing me, he said, ‘Okay, no problem.’
By the time Juhi Chawla told her mother-in-law about her thoughts, the wedding invitations had reached the homes of 2,000 guests. In this situation, Juhi’s mother-in-law took a big decision, which was not easy.
Narrating the incident, Juhi Chawla said, “My mother-in-law was able to convince the family not to have a big wedding ceremony.” Later I got married at home with family members and close friends. 80-90 people attended the wedding. Just imagine, ‘After sending the invitation, your mother-in-law cancels it.’ Yes, that’s what he did for me.”
Juhi Chawla, recalling her relationship with Jai Mehta, said, “I met businessman Jai Mehta through director Rakesh Roshan. Then we meet for dinner. From then on Jai started moving around me. Jai once sent a truckload of roses on my birthday. Still, I took a year to say ‘yes’ to him.”
Juhi Chawla and Jai Mehta are having a great time in their married life. The couple has a daughter and a son named Janhvi Mehta and Arjun Mehta.
