(Tayeb Saif) A delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) met Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad. .
A meeting was held between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf delegation and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in which Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar Ali, Asad Qaiser, Shibli Faraz, Rauf Hassan participated, JUI Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari, Maulana Lutfur Rehman, Aslam Ghori, Maulana Amjad Khan participated while Kamran Murtaza participated in the meeting through video link from Quetta.
According to sources, in the meeting, PTI requested JUI’s in-house cooperation and said that if they work together in Parliament, the government can be given a tough time.
Matters related to past meetings were also discussed in the meeting, Maulana Fazlur Rahman said on PTI’s request that PTI’s proposals can be answered after consultation, according to sources, to increase cooperation between the two parties. Proposals were given to establish committees for this, while efforts to reduce the distance between the two parties were also discussed.
Tehreek-e-Insaf and JUI leaders spoke to the media after the meeting, PTI leader Rauf Hasan speaking on the occasion said that a decision has been taken to proceed with mutual consultation in the National Assembly and the Senate, for framing the constitution in the Parliament. A sub-committee is being formed, Barrister Gauhar and Abdul Ghafoor Hydari will be part of the committee in the National Assembly, they said that Shibli Faraz and Kamran Murtaza will be part of the advisory committee in the Senate.
He further said that maybe the committees will meet on Sunday, on Monday the Senate and the National Assembly will decide the agenda of the meeting.
On the other hand, JUI Spokesperson Aslam Ghori said that committees have been formed in the Parliament to discuss the issue of legislation. Yousafzai said that he took Mahmood Khan Achakzai into confidence before the meeting, Mahmood Khan Achakzai’s consultation was included for the meeting, Mahmood Khan Achakzai wants the affairs of the country to move forward, the opposition alliance is very important for the country’s affairs.
