In the Nations League, Germany will face Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Netherlands. And because Niclas Füllkrug will be missing, there is apparently a debutant.

Surprise in the German attack: According to “Bild”, national coach Julian Nagelsmann nominated Tim Kleindienst to the national team. The Borussia Mönchengladbach striker is supposed to replace the injured Niclas Füllkrug, who has been out with an Achilles tendon injury since Germany’s game against Hungary at the beginning of September.

The DFB did not confirm this news on Wednesday when asked by the sports information service. Nagelsmann will announce his squad on Thursday morning.

Kleindienst moved to Borussia in the summer after strong performances at promoted team 1. FC Heidenheim. In 35 games in the Bundesliga and DFB Cup he scored 14 goals and prepared five more. In the current season, the 29-year-old has three goals in six games.

Kleindienst has only worn the U-20 national team jersey ten times so far.

Despite emerging rumors, he recently didn’t want to focus too much on the topic of the national team. “Unnecessary pressure would be pointless and would probably worsen your own performance. If it were to happen, it would of course be very cool from my point of view – and if not, everything is normal,” said the 29-year-old recently on Sky.
