jpnn.com – JAKARTA – The General Chairman of the Confederation of All Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPSI) Moh. Jumhur Hidayat proposed that all national strategic projects (PSN) be managed through an authority body.

Jumhur expressed his views because he was sad to see the many cases of unilateral land grabbing by private investors under the pretext of PSN.

“If it is managed by the state, the people do not need to be evicted but rather involved in managing the PSN through mutual symbiosis,” said Jumhur in Serpong, Banten, Thursday (12/9).

He expressed his views on the sidelines of the Public Dialogue ‘National Strategic Projects and the Legalization of Land Grabbing’.

Jumhur assessed that PSN should be managed by the state through an authority body and not by the private sector. Thus, the orientation is not just profit but empowering the community.

“PSN can run with diversity so that people can live, farmers do not lose their land and the country is not harmed,” he said.

A similar view was previously expressed by public policy observer Said Didu. He assessed that PSN seemed to be a cover for the efforts of a handful of investors supported by the authorities to seize people’s land at low prices.

He gave the example of Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) II which is suspected of purchasing people’s land in the Tangerang Regency area at a price of IDR 40 thousand-50 thousand per square meter.
