The first solo documentary film about Jungkook of the global super group BTS, ‘Jungkook: I Am Still,’ was released in CGV Korea and theaters in approximately 120 countries and regions on the 18th.

This documentary covers the production process and activities of Jungkook’s first solo single ‘Seven (feat. Latto)’ and his solo album ‘GOLDEN’ over a period of approximately eight months.

Starting with ‘Seven’, Jungkook has established himself as a representative male solo artist of the 2020s by consecutively hitting with ‘3D (feat. Jack Harlow)’ and ‘Standing Next to You’.

In particular, with “Seven,” he became the first K-pop solo artist to simultaneously top Billboard’s main single chart, the “Hot 100,” the “Global 200,” and the “Global 200 (excluding the US)”. With this song, he achieved 1 billion streams in the shortest amount of time in Spotify history. “Golden” entered Billboard’s main album chart, the “Billboard 200,” for 24 consecutive weeks, recording the longest-term chart-in period for a K-pop solo album.

In the movie, Jeong-guk honestly talks about his thoughts and feelings while doing his first solo activity. Although he reached the top with BTS, he honestly reveals his struggles at every moment as he still has a lot to do and show.

The ‘Golden’ production team, who have witnessed Jungkook’s blood, sweat, and tears up close, praise him as an artist with natural talent who works incredibly hard. Choreographer Brian Puspos, who has participated as a dancer in all of Jungkook’s solo activities, praised his talent in a program book interview, saying, “The best dancers in the world had to try to keep up with him.” Brian praised, “Jungkook is a hard worker more than anything. This is the key to Jungkook becoming a great artist, professional, and a great friend.”

Andrew Watt, producer of ‘Seven’ and ‘Standing Next to You’, praised Jungkook, saying, “The hallmark of great stars is that they work the hardest, and that’s Jungkook. He’ll keep repeating the same part until everyone likes it, and when he feels it’s right, what more could you ask for as a producer from an artist?”

Producer Pdogg, who has been watching Jungkook since before BTS’ debut, said, “He’s a genius at heart. He’s the epitome of ‘pop’, catching on to songs faster than anyone else and digesting them well in his own style.”

In addition to this, ‘Jungkook: I Am Still’ contains solo activities behind-the-scenes and interviews that have never been revealed before. It will begin showing in Japan on October 4th.
