She keeps the cup at home! Young Zoé Clauzure, 13, won the 21st Junior Eurovision contest this Sunday, November 26 in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) with her song “Cœur”. This is the third French victory and the second in a row, since last year already, it was the Frenchman Lissandro who won.

Zoe collected 228 points, which put her ahead of Spain (201 points) and Armenia (180 points). The Frenchwoman even won the vote of the national jurors with 136 points. Thanks to the teenager, France becomes the country with the most victories in the competition, tied with Georgia.

Dragon for Armenia, futuristic decor for the British

An event broadcast across Europe from the Palais Nikaïa in Nice. All hosted by Laury Thilleman, the influencer Ophenya and Olivier Minne. Sorry, “Oliver Mine” since the famous master of “Fort Boyard” was responsible for providing the English-speaking commentary for the show, he who lives between France and the United States.

As with adults, there is everything at Eurovision. Armenia, for example, arrived with five young girls, the Yan Girls, but also a huge dragon on stage for a song straight out of an album by Blackpink or another K-pop group. Same thing for the United Kingdom, unhappy in the traditional competition but determined to win among children thanks to the group STAND UNIQU3 with an incredible staging, in an extremely futuristic setting, but with a song that is anything but unforgettable.

And then there is France. With the chauvinistic side, obviously. “A unique show on French television,” Stéphane Bern even promised in the comments a few minutes after Zoé Clauzure’s appearance. “An important moment,” he then added. “She has already performed with the greatest, notably Amir”, added for her part Carla Lazzari, representative (unfortunately) in 2019. Because it seems that there is a before and an after “Heart”, title representing our country, referring to school bullying.

On her pink piano, herself dressed all in pink, the 13-year-old delivered a successful performance, on a very rhythmic track. All accompanied by a beautiful vocal prowess. It was enough for Stéphane Bern to exult! “You saw this show, it was extraordinary!” he enthused. Fred Dorieux (in charge of lights) is a genius! It’s a show like I’ve rarely seen! After that, we’re obviously a little disappointed…”

Well, it would be difficult to prove him wrong as Albania, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands have offered services without any real impact.

The French could vote for… France

After the performances and while Europe (and the world!) voted, Lissandro returned on stage to perform his song “Oh Maman! » with which he won the trophy, before Amir succeeded him, who came to sing his hit “J’ai être”, 6th at Eurovision 2016, as well as his latest title “Il y a”.

In a small “Fan School” atmosphere, all the participants then gathered on stage alongside former French representatives (Angélina, Valentina and Enzo) to perform the classic “We are the world” by Michael Jackson, before the stressful stage of votes and results which dedicated Zoé Clauzure.

The children’s edition allows you to vote for your own country, free of charge and without any identity verification, the commentator even had his little advice, not very fair play: “Be strategic: vote for Zoé and perhaps two countries which have less chances… that way, we’re sure that Zoé wins! » And there was no need to insist because France won for the third time, after having already triumphed in 2020 and 2022. The proposal from the French delegation rose to the top of the jury rankings, including the maximum possible from Spain, Ireland, Poland and the Netherlands, as well as from the public.
