The manager of Reds extended his contract for two more seasons linking him with Liverpool until 2026.
The love story continues between Klopp and Liverpool. This Thursday, the 54-year-old German announced that he was extending the adventure with the Reds until 2026.
“As in any healthy relationship, it has to go both ways, that we are made for each other. On the club’s social networks, the coach who won the Champions League in 2019 shows his legendary humor and gives a completely different explanation for his extension: “Why am I staying? Ulla (his wife) wants to stay and as a good husband when your wife wants to stay you stay!”
Still in the race to win a historic quadruple (Championship, Carabao Cup, FA Cup and Champions League), Jürgen Klopp is already one of the greatest coaches in the history of Liverpool and will therefore be able to continue to lead the Mersey club to glory for at least four more seasons.
Since his arrival, Klopp has won 229 of his 373 games in charge of Liverpool in all competitions (61.4%), the best win ratio of any manager who has taken charge of more than 50 games in history of the club.
