According to the data, thousands of tourists from Israel arrived safely and stayed in Qatar with a limited number of consular emergencies.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the World Cup games in Qatar, the Ministry’s team in Doha treated, among other things, a medical emergency of an Israeli citizen who needed treatment at a local hospital, and was then flown to Israel for further treatment. This event joins the general activity of the consular team, which was sent to Qatar during the World Cup games. It was also said that the team handled about ten consular emergencies, most of which involved issuing a travel document after a lost or stolen passport.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs points to the success of the “Safe World Cup” campaign of the national information system, together with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Culture and Sports, the Airports Authority and the Football Association and states that “the messages to the Israeli audience reached exposure more than 9 million times, with practically one and a half million unique users ( individuals) were exposed to the relevant messages in Hebrew and Arabic (about 3 million in a differentiated way)”.
