Justice: Mr. Ouahbi meets his Belgian counterpart in Rabat
Rabat – Minister of Justice Abdellatif Ouahbi met on Wednesday in Rabat with his Belgian counterpart, Paul Van Tigchelt, to discuss ways to promote bilateral cooperation in the field of justice.
Highlighting “the sincerity, frankness and clarity” that marked the exchanges between the two parties, Mr. Ouahbi expressed his certainty that relations between Morocco and Belgium, based on solid cooperation and friendship, will experience significant growth in the future.
He also stressed the importance of the dense Moroccan community established in Belgium, reaffirming the government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring their well-being, in accordance with the high Royal directives and in concretization of the Kingdom’s concern for its citizens residing abroad.
In a statement to the press following this interview, the Belgian minister stressed the imperative of strengthening ties between the two countries and intensifying cooperation in the judicial field, an approach deemed crucial for both Belgium and Morocco.
Highlighting the multiple convergences that promote enhanced cooperation in the security and justice sectors, Mr. Van Tigchelt expressed his conviction in the ability of the two countries to collaborate effectively to generate numerous opportunities and mutual benefits, thus consolidating the foundations of a solid strategic partnership.
