Justin Bieber’s design-led fashion and consumer technology brand Skylrk opened a futuristic pop-up shop in New York City on Thursday, July 16, at 60 Tenth Avenue. The temporary space, running through Sunday, July 20, marks the brand’s third physical retail appearance and first in New York City. The pop-up coincides with Bieber’s highly anticipated FIFA World Cup halftime performance on July 19, drawing crowds amid the city’s busy sports event schedule.

Lines for the pop-up began forming on Wednesday night, wrapping around the block during the first two days of operation. The space features sculptural fixtures, interactive shopping vignettes, LED screen-filled walls, and a large geodesic-inspired dome installation. The brand’s immersive design, described as more of an exhibit than a traditional retail space, emphasizes its relaxed, comfort-first aesthetic centered on oversized silhouettes and playful colorways.

Product Range Expands to Include Audio Line and Exclusive Merch

The New York pop-up offers a mix of new and previously sold-out apparel, accessories, and footwear priced between $40 and $250. Highlights include viral plaid boxers worn by Bieber during his Grammy performance, cargo jeans, shield sunglasses, fluorescent beanies, and “Juice” portable phone chargers. Exclusive New York City pop-up graphic T-shirts and hoodies featuring the address SKYLRK 60 Tenth Avenue are also available.

Skylrk’s recent expansion into audio technology debuted at the pop-up, with the limited-release Domo speaker available for $99. The portable speaker, offered in bright green, cotton candy baby blue, and pink, boasts 15 hours of playback per charge and “party mode” linking capabilities. The pop-up also served as the first retail location for Skylrk Audio, which includes home speakers, headphones, and audio accessories.

A one-day retail takeover at Target’s SoHo store on July 17 allowed guests to experience the Domo speaker and other audio products. The collaboration with Target marks the brand’s first foray into mass-market retail, expanding beyond its fashion roots.

Pop-Up as a Milestone in Skylrk’s Brand Evolution

The Coachella event generated $15 million in sales over two weekends, surpassing a previous record of $1.5 million. While the New York pop-up’s sales figures were not disclosed, the brand emphasized its role in establishing an identity beyond Bieber’s personal brand.

The space also features Skylrk Eyewear, including the Speed Demon sunglasses, and the latest iterations of the brand’s sneakers and slides.

Context of Bieber’s World Cup Performance and Brand Ambitions

The pop-up’s timing aligns with Bieber’s global spotlight as he prepares for his FIFA World Cup halftime show. The event has drawn significant attention, with the brand leveraging the occasion to deepen its presence in major markets. Skylrk’s expansion into audio and partnerships with retailers like Cash App and Target signal its ambition to blend fashion with technology.

The pop-up’s success underscores the appeal of Bieber’s brand, which combines his personal style with innovative product offerings. As Skylrk continues to experiment with new categories, the New York space provides a glimpse into its evolving vision, balancing celebrity-driven hype with standalone retail experiences.

The Skylrk pop-up at 60 Tenth Avenue remains open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through July 20.
