Brigadier General (retd.) M Sakhawat Hossain, adviser to the Ministry of Textiles and Jute and Shipping commented that all jute products should be presented at the World Darbar through the initiative of JDPC.
He said that initiatives will be taken to promote multi-purpose jute products in overseas exhibition corners and in supershops of the country. Eco-friendly jute bags are being introduced in supershops instead of plastic from next month which will increase the use of jute in the country, thanks to advisor Syeda Rizwana Hasan.
He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the exchange meeting after visiting the Jute Diversification Promotion Center (JDPC) at Tejgaon in the capital on Thursday (September 12) afternoon.
Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute. Abdur Rauf said JDPC is playing a key role in diversifying jute products and training entrepreneurs. The Ministry of Textiles and Jute will work to remove the limitations of JDPC and go further.
At that time, he expressed his satisfaction after visiting the exhibition of 282 jute products in the textile and jute advisor Jute Diversification Promotion Center. JDPC Executive Director Zeenat Ara, Director Seema Bose Adhara and others were present.
