Juve-Porto 3-2 but that’s not enough, bianconeri out of the Champions League

Juventus are out of the Champions League. The bianconeri won 3-2 with Porto in extra time in the second leg of the round of 16 at the Allianz Stadium, but it was not enough to avoid elimination.

The Portuguese, who had won 2-1 the first leg at home, celebrate the pass to the quarter-finals at the end of a heart-pounding match and a thrilling finale in which Pirlo’s team attacked head-on in desperate search for the qualifying goal.

The Portuguese went to the break ahead thanks to the goal scored by Oliveira from a penalty, then in the second half came the brace of Chiesa that overturns the game. Between the two Juventus goals, the expulsion of Taremi who leaves Porto outnumbered already in the 54th minute. Extra time materialized after the crossbar hit by Cuadrado in the 93rd minute.

Oliveira’s 2-2 free-kick at extra time is the jolly qualification for Sergio Conceicao’s team. Rabiot’s 3-2 lights up the end of the match, but the Juventus siege does not lead to the goal that would mean passing the round.
