Juventus, in a serious crisis of results for the last two months, recorded a second victory this week by beating Fiorentina 1-0 at home, on Sunday in the 31st round of Serie A.
The ‘bianconero’ team had begun to wake up on Tuesday by beating Lazio 2-0 in the first leg of the Italian Cup semi-finals. The victory against Fiorentina now represents confirmation of the improvement of a team that until this week seemed in critical condition.
With 62 points and already out of the fight for the title, Juventus reinforced its third place by extending its advantage to four points over the fourth, Bologna, which this Sunday did not go beyond a disappointing goalless draw in Frosinone (18th).

Federico Gatti was the scorer of the only goal of the match, in the 21st minute. The Brazilian Bremer had headed a header against the post and the ball was repelled towards Gatti, who in the small area shot at will into the back of the goal defended by Pietro Terracciano .
Juventus scored three more times in the first half, but on all three occasions the goal was disallowed for offside.
In the second half, Fiorentina created more problems and could have equalized, as in the 74th minute, when Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny saved the home team with a spectacular save.
The three points remained in Turin and the team is also back on track in Serie A, where in the nine previous games it had only been able to add a total of seven points.
Fiorentina remains stuck in tenth place, moving away from the European positions.
