International Women’s Day is celebrated all over the world. Bangladesh is no exception. Various institutions observe this day with importance. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has taken a great initiative this time.
On the occasion of Women’s Day tomorrow, Friday (March 8), the Bangladesh women’s cricket team will visit a centenary girls’ school in Khulna. The educational institution named Govt Coronation Madhyamik Balika Vidyalaya started its journey in 1912. More than two thousand students are studying in this 112-year-old institution.
BCB’s media department confirmed the matter with a statement on Thursday (07 March) afternoon. Nigar Sultana Jyoti-Marufa Aktara will visit the school tomorrow afternoon at 3 o’clock.
At this time, the women cricketers representing Bangladesh in red and green will motivate the students to pay attention to the game.
After a few days Jyoti’s engagement will begin. Bangladesh will play ODI and T20 series at home against Australia. The series will start from March 21 at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. All the matches will be in Mirpur.
