Kannur: K. Sudhakaran has stated that he will not move from the post of KPCC president. The response is rejecting the moves to change Sudhakaran citing health issues. At the same time, Sudhakaran and the opposition parties are unhappy with the delay in the announcement of the presidency. The supporters had released the video and photo of the KPCC president’s workout in the gym to dismiss the complaint of ill health. But the pressing complaints go beyond the President’s statement that the video is healthy. The complaint is that the President, who is supposed to be the final word in the party, is not active most of the time due to ill health. The next major complaint is that some of the intervening statements severely cut the party and the front.
With the Lok Sabha elections around the corner, MPs are behind the moves against the President regardless of the group. Last day, some MPs had conveyed their feelings against Sudhakar to the high command. VD Satheesan, the leader of the opposition who has joined hands with KS on the issue of generational change, is also at estrangement from the President. Although he does not reject it publicly, Satheesan is of the opinion that there is no significant support and progress at the organizational level even when he cuts the government in the assembly. There are indications that Satheesan has also asked the high command to transfer Sudhakaran, but Satheesan has publicly denied this.
Complaints are also the reason for delaying the announcement from Delhi that Sudhakaran will continue as the President, which was thought to be soon. At the same time, K Sudhakaran did not take the initiative for the rest of the reorganization as his presidential decision was extended. Although special committees have decided to propose names in the districts, nothing is happening. There is a general feeling in the Congress across the groups that the state government is getting into major controversies every day and cannot be capitalized on due to leadership problems and indifference.
