Collector Sankarlal Kumawat lauded the Ramanathapuram district players who bagged 2nd place in the state level men’s kabaddi competition.
State level competition
On behalf of the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority, state level beach sports competitions were held for 2 days at Daruvaikulam beach in Thoothukudi district. The men’s kabaddi team represented Ramanathapuram district in these competitions.
In this, Ramanathapuram district team defeated Thiruvarur district team 28-13 in the first quarter final. Following this, they defeated Thoothukudi district team 25-12 in the semi-finals and entered the final. Nagapattinam lost to India 22-25 in the final and finished 2nd in the state.
