jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confirmed that the arrival of the General Chair of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep was a personal initiative.

Kaesang came to ask for advice and input regarding allegations that he received gratuities for using a private jet.

Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK), Pahala Nainggolan, confirmed that his party had never sent a letter or invitation to clarify the alleged private jet gratification case to Kaesang.

“So this is the initiative of the person concerned, according to the deputy for prevention, so we never sent a letter or anything like that,” he said in Jakarta, Tuesday (17/6).

While at the Corruption Eradication Committee, he revealed that Kaesang filled out the gratification acceptance form according to procedure.

In addition, President Joko Widodo’s son was also asked for a number of additional statements and documents.

“So the first procedure that we do is to ask for additional information about the chronology of what was reported as the receipt of gratuities in the status of a child of a state administrator,” he explained.

Pahala explained that the KPK has 30 days to process data and information from Kaesang.
