jpnn.comJAKARTA – NasDem DPP Chairman Sugeng Suparwoto assessed that PSI General Chair Kaesang Pangarep and the red-colored political party would not force internal cadres in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.
He said this in response to questions from media crew at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (9/7).
“In my opinion, the chances for PSI to enter Jakarta are rather slim. This is my guess,” said Sugeng, Tuesday.
The Chairman of Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives instead considered that PSI would seek internal cadres to become contestants in the 2024 Central Java (Jateng) Pilkada.
“We see indications that PSI wants to enter Central Java, well, that’s it,” said Sugeng.
He did not deny that Anies Baswedan was a strong candidate who would be nominated in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.
Sugeng said that Deputy Chairman of the PKS Syuro Council Sohibul Iman was the right figure to accompany Anies in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.
“Well, we have to admit that Mr. Sohibul Iman is one of those who, in our opinion, is quite capable,” he said.
