It was rumored for several months, and finally it became official. The Hollywood Reporter reports Kaitlyn Dever has been chosen to play Abby in the second season of The Last of Us.
Her name will be known to fans of the video game since during the casting process for the main characters, Dever auditioned to be Ellie. However, the producers were looking for a much younger actress, and the character ended up falling on 20-year-old Bella Ramsey.

The second season of The Last of Us is scheduled to begin filming this year, with a view to premiering sometime in 2025.
