Delay in sending and receiving KakaoTalk messages from 9:24 to 9:30 AM
Kakao (035720) announced that some users experienced delays in sending and receiving KakaoTalk messages for 7 minutes starting at 9:24 AM on the 20th. This is the fifth error this year.
According to Kakao, from 9:24 to 9:30 a.m. on that day, a KakaoTalk PC version login error occurred and the sending and receiving of messages on the mobile and PC versions became unstable.
Kakao said, “We responded immediately after being notified of the issue and completed full recovery by 9:30.”
However, it appears that the service was still unstable, with some users still seeing the numbers of KakaoTalk rooms they had confirmed and receiving notifications of confirmed messages even up until 9:50.
KakaoTalk has been experiencing errors, both big and small, since the beginning of this year.
On May 13th, from 1:44 PM for 6 minutes, some users experienced unstable message sending and receiving, and PC users’ logins were unstable.
Then, on the 20th, from 2:52 PM for approximately 6 minutes, some users were unable to send or receive messages or log in to the PC version.
The next day, on the 21st, the KakaoTalk PC version error persisted for about an hour. Users experienced inconveniences such as not being able to log in or send messages.
On July 18, from 10:54 AM to 1 hour and 26 minutes, login failures occurred for some services using Kakao account logins, including KakaoTalk PC version logins.
