Kaki Vargas warns about fire in Villa Altagracia

The Dominican musician Vargas leg alerted this Saturday about the fires that have recently occurred in different parts of the country, especially the one that is currently affecting some areas of plant formation in his hometown of Villa Altagracia.

Throught social media, Feetbrother of the artist Sergio Vargas, asked the pertinent authorities for help to control the incident and assured that “he had never seen anything like it, every day someone lights a hill because the hills do not light themselves.”

And he added along with a video where you can see the fire: “My God, my Lord, the beautiful hills of Villa Altagracia, my town, are burning. And who can help us?”

After the burning that Valle Nuevo, Constanza suffered, in March, for almost two weeksthe Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources confirmed this morning the existence of new forest fires located in Jarabacoa, Bonao and Villa Altagracia.

The person in charge of the Fire Management Division of the Ministry of the Environment, Gerónimo Abreu, told Listín Diario that in Cienaguita, Jarabacoa there are “two sources, there are two fires separated from each other.”

In this sense, Abreu stated that they are taking measures to put out the fires and that “we are working on the sources, we are trying to finish controlling this today.”
