Police have arrested two students of Dindigul College for spreading false rumors about the death of a Kallakurichi schoolgirl.
A Plus Two student died last week at Kaniyamoor Matriculation School near Chinnasalem in Kallakurichi district. In this regard, Udayakumar, who is studying in 3rd year at GTN Arts College near Dindigul, and another college student (17 years old) who is studying in Parvathi Arts College, who is in his first year, have started a WhatsApp group called JusticeSrimathi.
They also put the photo of the dead student on the WhatsApp group TP. It is said that both of them spread many rumors in the group regarding the death of the student and the protest. In this regard, Dindigul Nagar South Police Station arrested two college students and kept them in the police station for investigation.
