It is said that a 12th class student of a private school operating in the Kaniyamoor area near Chinna Salem, Kallakurichi district, committed suicide by jumping down from the 3rd floor of the school on July 13. However, her parents and relatives said that there is doubt in the death of the student.
A private school was smashed and violence broke out in a protest held on the 17th to demand justice for the death of a female student. School vehicles and certificates of students were set on fire. More than 350 people have been arrested in connection with this violence.
Madras High Court strongly condemned this violent incident. Meanwhile, the case has been handed over to the CBCID police and investigation is underway. As per the court order, the student’s body was also re-post-mortemed.
In this case, before the student committed suicide, the CCTV footage recorded on the 12th at 9:30 PM has now been released. Accordingly, after the end of the special class at 9.30 pm, the scene of the student going to the hostel on the 3rd floor has been reported.
