An announcement about the meeting that took place at the offices of the PES Dodecanese was issued by the deputy regional governor and member of the E.E. of the Kallistos Diakogeorgiou Union, citing the following:

On Monday 7/8/2023, held at the Kallipateira sports center, the postponed, due to the tragic fires, meeting of the PES Dodecanese, during which the new legislative framework was announced and discussed between the committee and the sports players. effective with the new football season. The briefing on the revised regulatory framework was carried out by the president of the championship and cup committee, Psellas Chrysostomos, in the presence of many sports players from the islands’ teams.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Governor of Industry, Energy and Natural Resources, member of the Executive Committee and chairman of the committee for security and violence prevention Kallistos Diakogeorgiou. In his speech, the deputy governor, after first pointing out some issues regarding the prevention of violence in the stadiums at the local and central level, conveyed wishes for the new football year and thanks to all the sports players and fans, on behalf of both the president of the EPS Dodecanese Panagiotis Diakofotis, as well as the regional governor Giorgos Chatzimarkos.
Finally, in his turn, he thanked on the one hand the agents of all the groups for their contribution to the organization and hospitality of those affected by the fires and on the other hand the athletes of the associations, who collaborated with a fighting spirit, in extinguishing the fiery fronts, characterizing them ‘ “competitors on and off the fields”, while he did not fail to point out the continuous and essential support of the Region to all sports associations and the people who staff them. In matters of arbitration and beyond, the local arbitration body and former president of the arbitration association Babis Lambrou was also mentioned.”
