Although Denali has songs and sentiment, it is a comedy film. The story is about a young man who comes to Tamil Nadu from Eelam and is afraid of everything. The film humorously deals with the incident where the innocent becomes a headache for a psychiatrist and an ax to break up his family.
In a scene from the film, Kamal started the conversation with a joke during a TV interview and told the loss due to the war in Eelam, which left the fans in a tizzy.
As we have already said many times, Kamal is the one who does many rasas in comedy. His comedy performance in one film is completely different from his comedy performance in another film. The comedy performance of Denali was different from Kamal’s other comedy performances like Michael Madana Kama Rajan, Satilelavathy, Pancha Tantram.

Featured in it, Alankatti Marisi Thalata Vandacha… Kalaikkumar, Athini Siddini… Indumathi, Incherungo… Tamarai, Denali Denali… Ilaya Kampanum, Porkalam Enge… Piraisudanum, Swasavame… Pa. Vijay also wrote. Kolukkombu Rahman got to Vairamuth after Ilayaraja’s neglect. Vairamuthu realized that if he lost him, he would be exiled, and he gave a heated interview that those who played with flowers were separated by saying that they played with swords.
Denali is one of the few films born in the midst of the Rahman-Vairamuthu rift. Vairamuthu had many reasons to join Rahman. Rahman had only one reason to join Vairamuth. None of the lyricists he used in response to Vairamuth satisfied Rahman. Had people like Ilaya Kampan filled Vairamuthu’s place with their poetry, the story would have been different. But it didn’t happen.
