HEarlier, it was reported that the stories of Layalat’s narrator MT Vasudevan Nair will be made into anthology films. The film stars Mohanlal, Mammootty, Asif Ali and Fahad Fazil among others. It is learned that Kamal Haasan is currently presenting these short films on Netflix.
The films are produced by RPSG Group. Sudheer Ambalappattu is the line producer. The film is directed by Priyadarshan, Santosh Sivan, Shyamaprasad, Jayaraj, Mahesh Narayanan, Lijo Jose Pellissery and Ratheesh Ambot. MT’s daughter Ashwathy is also directing the film.
Mahesh Narayanan is making a film based on the story ‘Sherlock’. Fahad Fazil is the hero in this. Lijo Jose Pellissery is preparing the visual for the story ‘Kadugannava Oru Yathrakkurippu’. Mammootty plays the central character. Priyadarshan is directing two films. Biju Menon is the hero in the story ‘Shilakhitham’. The other is a remake of the movie ‘Olavum Theeravum’ directed by PN Menon and scripted by MT. Mohanlal is the hero in this.
Siddique will play the lead role in Santosh Sivan’s film ‘Abhayam Thedi’. Shyamaprasad is directing the story ‘Kazha’ with Parvathi and Narain in the lead roles. Unni Mukundan joins Nedumudi Venu, Indrans and Surabhi Lakshmi in Jayaraj’s ‘Swargam Opening Time’. Indrajith, Aparna Balamurali and Ann Augustine will play the lead roles in Ratheesh Ambat’s ‘Sea Wind’.
Ashwathy is directing MT’s ‘Sale’ story. The script is by MT himself. The film stars Asif Ali and Madhubala in the lead roles. Filming for this movie has already been completed.
