Vikram has gone 125 days of shooting throughout the film. Only 60 days of filming took place for Kamal. Kamal did not even ask what happened in the remaining days. Lokesh finishes the film completely and shows it to Kamal. In the interview, Vikram said that the film was made to this extent because Kamal Haasan gave him complete freedom.
