TEGAL – Four goals were scored when Kancil WHW Pontianak drew 2-2 against Bintang Timur Surabaya in the first week of the 2023/2024 Professional Futsal League at GOR Tegal Selatan, Sunday (19/11/2023).
Bintang Timur Surabaya took the lead through Rio Pangestu’s measured kick. The advantage lasted until the first interval.
In the second half, Kancil WHW was still looking for an opening to score an equalizer. Meanwhile, Bintang Timur Surabaya is also still continuing to attack to increase its goal tally.
After repeatedly getting opportunities, Bintang Timur Surabaya finally managed to increase its lead to 2-0 thanks to Marcus Gava’s goal from the penalty spot. However, not long after, Kancil WHW was able to reduce the position to 1-2 through Fajriyan’s kick.
Kancil WHW almost equalized but unfortunately the penalty kick executed by Felipe was not saved by Ahmad Habibie. However, not long after, Felipe was finally able to make up for his mistake by successfully breaking through the goal for Bintang Timur Surabaya.
The match became increasingly fierce after the score became a 2-2 draw. Both teams played on the power play to score the winning goal. In the end, Bintang Timur Surabaya and Kancil WHW had to settle for sharing the points because they played a draw.
