Kangana’s objection to ’emergency’ entertainment

A few days ago the movie ‘Emergency’ starring Kangana was released Trailer. After that, the ‘Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee’ raised the demand to ban the movie. This time the Sikh Council of Australia has claimed – ‘Emergency’ propaganda movie.

The Sikh Council has written a letter to Australia-based multinational film exhibition brand Village Cinemas. It said, ‘We are deeply concerned about the screening of propaganda films in theatres. The movie features former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in a heroic role. The Sikh community has been portrayed in a way that is disrespectful and historical events have been misrepresented.’

Fearing tensions between the Sikh and Hindu communities in Australia, the film portrays Sikh leader Sant Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwal in a negative light, raising concerns. Screening of the film will increase political tensions between the Sikh and Hindu communities in Australia and hurt the religious sentiments of Sikhs.’

A lot of practice is going on after raising objections about the movie ‘Emergency’. However, BJP MP Kangana Ranaut did not comment on this.
