Kannauj: Police disturbance was seen in a model shop in Kannauj, UP. The salesman’s son found it difficult not to serve liquor to the police personnel by opening the shop after 10 pm. He was beaten up for refusing to give liquor to police personnel. Hurt by this incident, the salesman’s son submitted an application to the SP demanding action. SP Amit Kumar Anand suspended all three police personnel on Saturday night.
Saurabh Pal, resident of Tadaraipur village of Saurikh police station area, has given an application to the SP. In which he told that father Ram Vilas is a salesman in a model shop. On Friday, I was sitting in the shop due to my father’s ill health. I was going to have dinner after closing the shop at ten o’clock at night. Meanwhile, three constables of Tirwa police station came and started asking for liquor. Opened the shop and gave them liquor, after which he closed the shop and started leaving. When the policemen started asking for liquor again, I refused.
All three constables suspended
On this, the three police personnel started abusing and assaulting. The constables said that the sale of liquor at night will not be as per excise duty. After this all three constables left, the body suffered serious injuries due to the fight. The victim has demanded action against the police personnel. Meanwhile, in the case of assault on a salesman, the SP has suspended all three police personnel.
Found guilty in ASP investigation
On Friday night, Gajendra Singh, Bhupendra and Anuj, posted at the police station, had beaten the salesman for not giving them liquor. The SP had handed over the investigation of the case to the ASP. Based on the investigation by ASP, all three have been suspended. There is huge resentment in the entire market regarding this action of police personnel. The victim has recorded his statement with the police officer.
