The car suddenly caught fire in the middle of the road when it reached Kannur Government Hospital. Due to this, shocked Prajit stopped the car. Immediately in the back seat of the car, Sriparvati, daughter of Reesha- Prajith couple, Reesha’s father Viswanathan, mother Shobana and a female relative Sajana got down from the car.

But Reesha, who was one month pregnant in the front seat of the car, and her husband Prajit, who was driving the car, could not get down from the car. As the front doors of the car could not be opened, the 2 people who were stuck inside the car were unable to escape and died miserably by burning their bodies while sitting on the seat.

Reesha and her husband Prajit were charred to death in front of their parents. As the fire spread rapidly in the car, no one could save the husband and wife who were in the front. The incident, which took place in broad daylight, caused great grief in Kerala.

Some changes have been made to the wires on the driver’s seat when the rear camera (reverse camera) is installed in the car. The motor vehicle department had already informed that there was a short circuit.

Forensic investigation revealed that pregnant Reesha and her husband Prajit died due to electrical leakage and petrol kept in a plastic bottle in the car.
