A 37-year-old man in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, suffered severe injuries requiring 55 stitches after his sister-in-law allegedly bit his genitals during a violent family dispute on Friday, October 23, and police have registered a case following a complaint filed by the victim’s wife.
Kanpur Family Dispute Turns Violent in Sajeti Village
The confrontation unfolded in a village within the Sajeti police station limits of Kanpur district, stemming initially from an argument involving children. A young boy had visited the home of his aunt, Suman, where a disagreement led to him being beaten by Rajneesh.
The confrontation involved Gayatri, her brother-in-law Rajneesh, and other household members. Rajneesh lives in the same village alongside his father, Ramswaroop, and his brother’s family, while Gayatri’s husband, Pushparaj, works for a private company in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The domestic disturbance began when the woman was beating her children and her brother-in-law and father-in-law objected. Villagers recounted that the initial disagreement over child discipline quickly morphed into a chaotic Sajeti area confrontation. Pushparaj was returning home after learning about the incident.
Sister-in-Law Bites Man’s Genitals During Fight
During the height of the physical altercation, Rajneesh allegedly removed his clothes in anger. According to an account covered by India Today, Gayatri then pushed him to the ground and bit his genitals, leaving him severely injured and screaming in pain.
His cries alerted his father and a nearby resident, who rushed to his aid.
Family members initially transported Rajneesh to the community health centre in Ghatampur for emergency care. Medical staff subsequently referred him to Hallet Hospital in Kanpur, where doctors closed the injuries with 55 stitches.

Reporting by The Times of India notes that he was also referred to Ursula Hospital in Kanpur.
Police Register FIR After Sajeti Station Complaint
The injured man’s wife, Suman, lodged a formal written complaint at the local police station against Gayatri and her husband, Pushparaj. Senior police officer Krishna Kant Yadav and Sajeti police station in-charge Anuj Kumar confirmed that authorities registered an FIR on Saturday based on the complaint.
Police teams have since been formed to trace the accused woman and gather evidence regarding the precise sequence of events. Investigators are examining the underlying cause of the dispute and the specific roles of everyone involved, with further legal action dependent upon the findings of the ongoing police inquiry.
